FDCPA Class Action Settlement Gets Approved by the Court

A federal judge has approved a class action settlement against Collection Acquisition Company, LLC for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. In Jackson v. Collection Acquisition Company, LLC, Case No. 13-cv-00570 (ED Mo.), the Court approved a settlement of $10,000 to be distributed among the class members. The named Plaintiff in the case was approved to receive $4,000 for his participation and prosecution of the case. Mr. Jackson was represented by James W. Eason of the Eason Law Firm, LLC located in St. Louis, Missouri.
